EngJourney (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is an English-learning mobile application operated by the EngJourney Team. This policy explains what personal data the App collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid legal request from a competent authority.
The free version of the App shows advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised based on your advertising identifier and inferred interests. You are in control of this:
We keep your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited transaction records to comply with tax or accounting obligations. Aggregated, anonymous statistics that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.
For each use of the Add words feature we keep a short usage record (date, source type such as photo or paste, number of words, processing status and cost) to apply fair-use limits. This record does not contain your text or images, and it is deleted together with your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Users in California may additionally request disclosure of the categories of data collected and opt out of any “sale” of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
To exercise any of these rights, email engjourneyapp@gmail.com from the address linked to your account.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, either from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by requesting deletion at this page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, where higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on infrastructure operated by Supabase, with access restricted to the developer. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
Your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States, under the safeguards offered by our providers.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Chúng tôi cũng có thể tiết lộ dữ liệu khi pháp luật yêu cầu, ví dụ theo yêu cầu hợp lệ của cơ quan nhà nước có thẩm quyền.
Phiên bản miễn phí của Ứng dụng có hiển thị quảng cáo do Google AdMob cung cấp. Quảng cáo có thể được cá nhân hoá dựa trên mã định danh quảng cáo và sở thích được suy đoán. Bạn hoàn toàn kiểm soát việc này:
Chúng tôi lưu dữ liệu tài khoản và tiến độ học tập trong suốt thời gian tài khoản của bạn còn hoạt động. Nếu bạn xoá tài khoản, chúng tôi sẽ xoá vĩnh viễn hoặc ẩn danh hoá không thể đảo ngược dữ liệu cá nhân của bạn trong vòng 30 ngày, trừ một số bản ghi giao dịch bắt buộc phải giữ theo nghĩa vụ thuế/kế toán. Số liệu thống kê tổng hợp, ẩn danh và không thể nhận dạng bạn có thể được lưu vô thời hạn.
Mỗi lần bạn dùng tính năng Thêm từ, chúng tôi lưu một bản ghi sử dụng ngắn (ngày, nguồn như ảnh hoặc dán, số từ, trạng thái xử lý và chi phí) để áp dụng giới hạn sử dụng hợp lý. Bản ghi này không chứa văn bản hay hình ảnh của bạn, và bị xoá cùng tài khoản.
Tuỳ nơi bạn sinh sống, bạn có thể có quyền truy cập, chỉnh sửa, xuất, hạn chế hoặc xoá dữ liệu cá nhân, phản đối một số hoạt động xử lý, và khiếu nại tới cơ quan bảo vệ dữ liệu tại địa phương. Người dùng tại California có thể yêu cầu công bố các loại dữ liệu được thu thập và từ chối việc “bán” dữ liệu cá nhân (chúng tôi không bán dữ liệu cá nhân).
Để thực hiện các quyền trên, vui lòng gửi email tới engjourneyapp@gmail.com từ chính địa chỉ email gắn với tài khoản của bạn.
Bạn có thể xoá tài khoản và toàn bộ dữ liệu liên quan bất kỳ lúc nào, ngay trong Ứng dụng (Cài đặt → Tài khoản → Xoá tài khoản) hoặc gửi yêu cầu tại trang này. Việc xoá là vĩnh viễn và không thể hoàn tác.
Ứng dụng không hướng tới trẻ em dưới 13 tuổi (hoặc độ tuổi đồng ý số tối thiểu tại quốc gia của bạn, nếu cao hơn), và chúng tôi không cố ý thu thập dữ liệu cá nhân của các em. Nếu bạn cho rằng một trẻ em đã cung cấp dữ liệu cá nhân cho chúng tôi, hãy liên hệ để chúng tôi xoá ngay.
Dữ liệu được truyền qua kết nối mã hoá (HTTPS/TLS) và lưu trữ trên hạ tầng do Supabase vận hành, chỉ nhà phát triển được quyền truy cập. Không có phương thức truyền tải hay lưu trữ nào là an toàn tuyệt đối, nhưng chúng tôi áp dụng các biện pháp kỹ thuật và tổ chức hợp lý để bảo vệ dữ liệu của bạn.
Dữ liệu của bạn có thể được lưu trữ và xử lý trên máy chủ đặt ngoài quốc gia bạn cư trú, bao gồm tại Hoa Kỳ, theo các biện pháp bảo vệ mà nhà cung cấp dịch vụ của chúng tôi áp dụng.
Chúng tôi có thể cập nhật chính sách này theo thời gian. Các thay đổi quan trọng sẽ được thông báo trong Ứng dụng hoặc bằng cách cập nhật ngày “Cập nhật lần cuối” ở đầu trang. Việc tiếp tục sử dụng Ứng dụng sau khi có thay đổi đồng nghĩa bạn chấp nhận chính sách đã cập nhật.
